New Utrecht Reformed Church & Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom hosted the Young Peace Builders of Southern Brooklyn on November 18, 2015. The representatives of this universal peace foundation, Turkish Cultural Center and Kings Bay YM-YWHA, attended the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration.

Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz gave a speech regarding how political conflicts do not prevent youngsters from culturally intermingling and freely expressing their own unique beliefs. Before the choir took the stage, Nahide Cebeci, Senior at Brooklyn Amity School discussed the aspirations and motivations of this global program through interfaith dialogue. The night was marked by philanthropic peace and anti-war songs that were sung in 11 different languages, including Turkish and Hebrew.
