Turkish Cultural Center Queens is organized 15th annual Interfaith Ramadan Food and Culture Festival at 45th street on Queens Boulevard where 1500 free meals were served.

Turkish Cultural Center is dedicated to bringing people together to build long lasting friendship among people of different cultures and faiths. Ramadan is a month of sharing and improving neighborhood bonds in Islamic tradition.

At the beginning of the event every day, local religious leaders from Christian and Jewish communities delivered the invocation.

Every year, the festival is well attended by community leaders and elected officials. Art and culture performances are offered such as live music and water marbling etc by local artists. Entertainments and activities are available for children to enjoy such as face painting, balloon twisting etc. For them, popcorn and apple candy are served.

At the dinner tables, people get to meet with new friends from different culture while they enjoy ethnic food.

Local vendors offer shopping booths for people to purchase souvenirs, coffee, arts, and crafts etc.
