Turkish Cultural Center Staten Island organized a lecture about how to obtain the new NY Identification card for all New York City residents on October 30, 2015.
Organizer Mis Hina Naveed, from the Mayor’s office of Immigrant Affairs, briefly introduced himself and started to present the new exciting ID. Naveed expressed all the process and details about obtaining the card within slide shows. Attendees learned that they can be eligible for one-year free membership package at 33 of the City’s leading cultural institutions, and be able to use public libraries, open a bank or credit account at more than a dozen financial institutions across New York City with this ID. This card also offers discounts on movie tickets, prescription drugs and receive 10 percent discount off annual and six-month NYC Parks Recreation Center memberships.
The program end by enjoying light refreshments where attendees had the opportunity to meet with each other.
