Cooking classes became a significant event at Turkish Cultural Center Syracuse. Ladies club members organizes cooking classes once a month where people from all backgrounds get to know about Turkish cuisine and culture. They teach 3 different dishes in each class which usually a dessert, a main dish, and a quick three minute recipe. Participants not only learn how to cook the recipes, they also get to enjoy the meal with the famous Turkish tea.
Cooking classes have a diverse participants from students to professors, medical associates to home makers. Some of the friends also joined with their grandchildren. Some of them have never missed a class yet. Overall, TCCS Women Club had successfully created a culture of sharing and dialog.
