Most of the times we as humans forget either to thank nor appreciate There are many individuals, groups, co operations, and communities that deserve appreciation. Police officers are among many individuals who are giving their best to protect our community from criminals and making sure we live in a safe community. However we never have a chance to thank them for their hard work. Since Turkish Cultural Center Queens also have a similar  vision, safe community, the board members agreed to have a visit to Precinct 110 and showed them our appreciation for their hard work.

As a Center, we decided to serve breakfast to them in a way to say ‘thank you.’ We thought this will make their day and they will start to protect our community with a smile on their face. As for the results, this method actually worked. Captain, x, introduced our Center and Mr. Turan, vice president of Turkish Cultural Center Queens, briefly described our mission and vision for the community. After the brief introduction·,·the officers came together as one and started enjoying their breakfast. That day there was laughter and joy in precinct. Many of them were not aware of the veggie  omelet, menemen. They hesitated at first but after tasting it they could not get enough of it.
