On Tuesday night, the TCC held its first Turkish Coffee and Cake Night. Here, the guests were given the history behind Turkish coffee and its evolvement throughout Ottoman history. The guests also learned about the modern cultural importance of coffee to the Turkish people – including how every prospective bride must serve coffee to the prospective groom’s family.

The guests were also able to see a live preparation of Turkish coffee. They were then able to try the coffee itself and ask questions.
