Taste_of_Sunnyside_031_copySunnyside Chamber of Commerce and Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District (BID) joined forces for the 2nd Annual Taste of Sunnyside, where many restaurants including Japanese, Mexican, Lebanese, Italian, Thai, Irish and many more attended for a diverse taste and drinks for the community. Turkish Cultural Center Queens also took part in this big event, where Turkish coffee and baklava were given to add a little more diversity and taste for the attendees.Almost 600 people had a chance to taste different cultures and tastes.

Objective of Event:

Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce and Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District (BID) joined forces for the 2nd Annual Taste of Sunnyside, where many restaurants including Japanese, Mexican, Lebanese, Italian, Thai, Irish and many more attended for a diverse taste and drinks for the community. Turkish Cultural Center Queens also took part in this big event, where Turkish coffee and baklava were given to add a little more diversity and taste for the attendees.Almost 600 people had a chance to taste different cultures and tastes.

Many people attended the event from different cultures and from different race.  Representative Nydia M. Velázquez,Senator Michael Gianaris,Assembly Member Catherine Nolan and Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer were also part of the attendees. After eating a great variety of food available at this event, they just loved the taste of a Turkish dessert, baklava, and strong ethnic Turkish coffee just made their night.
