On March 7, 2012 Turkish Cultural Center (TCCLI) and Peace Islands Institute representatives visited Antioch Baptist Church in Hempstead NY. After serving and eating delicious Turkish food the Abraham’s Table platform began.

The representative for the (TCCLI) and Peace Island Institute Mr. Ibrahim Sayar made his presentation about Jesus Christ as known as Isa and Virgin Marry from Islamic perspective. He mentioned that Jesus was a very important prophet in Islam and He was a high ranked messenger of God as well. He also recited one of the chapter from the Holy Quran related to Jesus and Virgin Mary. This chapter clearly stated that Jesus was a prophet and a messenger of God.

 

After Mr. Sayar finished his presentation Pastor Dr. Phillip Edward Elliott had his speech about Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary from a Christian perspective. He mentioned that we are all from one God and Jesus is the son of God. Dr. Elliott also recited one of the chapter from the Bible.

At the end of the platform Dr.Phillip Edward Elliott was thankful to the TCCLI and Peace Islands Institute representatives. Mr. Davut Yilmaz the Vice President of TCCLI and Mr. Aiman Salih from TCCLI also were very thankful to the representatives of the church and to everyone who has participated. And they wished to see everyone in another upcoming event.
