TCCNY is currently offering internship and volunteer opportunities for the Academic Year of 2010 and 2011. Turkish Cultural Center New York is dedicated to promote peace and dialogue among people from various backgrounds. All internship and volunteers are unpaid.
Eligibility: All undergraduate, graduate and Ph. D. students as well as recent graduates are eligible to apply.
Candidates must have a strong interest in community affairs and global issues; excellent research, written and oral communication skills; detailed oriented and strong organizational abilities; strong interpersonal skills and be an excellent team player; adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office is requried.
Internships are currently available for the following:
- Turkish Days in New York Festival
- Panel Discussions / Conferences
- Abraham’s Table Luncheons
- Cultural Events / Programs
Responsibilities: Internship responsibilities include, but are not limited to: researching local and regional topics, preparing and distributing mailings (mail, fax, or e-mail) and providing assistance with various other duties and activities. This internship also offers the opportunity to attend and provide support at various other TCCNY events.
